<p>During the 17th century a row of Swedish kings expanded the borders of their country. As the effect of cruel wars and invasions, areas in Poland, Germany, Norway and Denmark were incorporated in the Swedish kingdom. The population of farmers and craftsmen in the areas experienced hell on earth. </p>
<p>The southern part of today’s Sweden: Skania, Halland and Blekinge are the only areas that never was returned and the population of today regard themselves as Swedes, we think. </p>
<p>This is the story of how poor farmers that lost everything they had, formed a guerrilla movement. Snapphane groups that fought the Swedish troops during decades, paying a high price for their resistance. Regarded as terrorists by the Swedish king they suffered no mercy when they eventually got cought. They were humiliated, tortured and killed in ways beyond imagination. In the film we reveal the events 300 years ago when the Swedish army on the kings direct order devastated villages, towns and the living prerequisites for thousands of innocent people who’s descendants today are Swedish citizens.</p>
